State and Local Partners Unite to Support Federal Workers Impacted by Layoffs

Statewide webinars are available to connect impacted workers with layoff support services.


Seattle, WA — The Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County (WDC), in partnership with the Washington State Employment Security Department (ESD), Washington Health Benefit Exchange, labor organizations, and local workforce boards, will co-host a series of statewide and local events to assist federal employees and contractors impacted by recent layoffs.

Statewide Virtual Layoff Support Presentations

Three free, virtual Rapid ReEmployment webinars will provide critical guidance to impacted workers across Washington:

Participants will learn about:

  • Unemployment benefits and filing assistance

    Career guidance, job search assistance, and other resources

  • Health care options through the WA Health Benefit Exchange

  • Expanding job skills through training and educational programs

  • Additional resources provided by the Washington State Labor Council

King County Layoff Support Services

The WDC provides monthly layoff support presentations that are open to anyone impacted by a job loss.
